School Dinners

We are very proud of the high quality of the schools dinners we provide. 

Children can choose from either;

• a hot meal (Halal options available) 
• a vegetarian hot meal (which will be Halal)
• a jacket potato filled with beans, cheese or tuna
• a filled wrap
• plain pasta

Children will eat in the dining hall but will only sit with the children from their class.

School Dinners cost £2.90 a day. We ask that all parents pre-order and pre-pay for meals online via MCAS. (My Child at School app). This must be done by midnight of the day before the meal is required. Parent/carers will not be able to pre-order a menu option if it has not been paid for in advance.

To help manage food waste, we want to make parents/carers aware that any pre-booked meals will be removed daily at 09:30 if a child has not been marked as present during registration.

If your child has a pre-planned appointment or any other reason that may cause them to arrive late to school, please inform the office in advance. This ensures that the meal selection is retained and that your child has their ordered meal ready at lunchtime. 

If your child arrives to school late and their pre-booked meal has been removed, the default option of a jacket potato will be available.

All children in KS1 receive a free school meal as a result of the Universal Free School Meals initiative. However, if you meet any of the following criteria you must STILL apply to get the additional Pupil Premium funding that schools receive for those eligible.

Your child is eligible for Free School Meals if :-

• You receive Family Income Support

• You receive Income Based Job-Seekers Allowance

• You receive Child Tax Credit

• Your Child is supported by Part VI of the Immigration & Asylum Act 1999

• You are a guardian (caring for a child) and you receive Pension Credit (under 'Guarantee Credit Element')

If your Child is in Nursery this still applies so please claim your free school meal funding.
