Remote Learning

Learning Together – Wherever We Are

At Fonthill Primary, our vision is to create a community where every child can thrive, achieve their full potential and develop a lifelong love of learning. We believe that learning should continue beyond the classroom, and when children are unable to attend school, we work closely with families to ensure they remain connected, supported and engaged in their education.

Our remote learning offer reflects our mission to provide ambitious, inclusive and high-quality learning experiences for every child. We aim to maintain the routines, relationships and learning habits that help children succeed, while recognising that every family's circumstances are different. We are committed to working in partnership with parents and carers to make learning at home as accessible and positive as possible.

Wherever possible, children will continue to follow the same curriculum they would be learning in school, with carefully planned lessons, clear guidance and regular feedback from teachers. Alongside academic learning, we also encourage reading, wellbeing, creativity and family engagement, helping children to remain curious, confident and connected to our school community.

We understand that remote learning can bring challenges, and our staff work together to support families, remove barriers and ensure that every child has the opportunity to succeed. Whether a child is absent for a short period, learning remotely due to exceptional circumstances, or accessing learning during a school closure, we will do everything we can to help them continue their educational journey.
